We all know the fact that there is nothing that we can’t find in the internet. Internet is filled with billions and billions of files. There are so many links we find to download games, videos, songs and apps. There are so many ways to download one file, for example, one movie will have so many links to download it.

Here we should know that, not all the sockets available are secure and original. There can be so many duplicate files similar to the original one. The fake files can contain virus and so many other viral issues that can cause great damage to the device. This is one reason why we consider downloading files in internet cannot always be secure; there are so many insecure apps, so it’s always better not to download anything from unofficial portals.

It is always safe to take some preventive methods before we download anything from the internet. Because when downloading a file from a duplicate link can make a lot of harmful virus to grasp in along with the downloaded file. When virus enters the device, it can be really harmful that the whole device might stop working or any big important files might get deleted. So the possible measure to take is to check if the file you are downloading is safe. We have a simple way to check the files we want to download. Let me share it with all of you today.

Check the Site is Secure or Not

Always make sure you download any kind of files from the most secured and trustable website HTTPS. Never go for anything that shows ‘free’, as most of us like free things, we with an interest tap on boxes that say free. But files that are cheap as this will always have a lot of insecurity virus consumed in them. So beware of them.

Check for the Attachments

When you go for a download process, first check out for the bundle tools. They come along with the software but you will not know it. There are many incidents where so many bundle tools were seen in original files too. Therefore check for the bundle tools before head.

Check Whether the File is Signed or Not

When we run the .exe file of a downloaded file, the windows operating system will automatically open the User Account control Dialog box. Normally, we don’t spend time checking what this dialog box is, we simply tap ‘Yes’. The User Account control dialog box shows us whether the file we have downloaded and above to install is digitally signed or not. We should make sure not to install files that are not digitally signed.

Scan for the Virus First

Scanning the virus before we head to download a file is the most reliable and easiest way to check out. Copy the link from the right page that shows a quick download link. Open a new tab and visit Virustotal.com and click on the URL tab on the page. Paste the link and allow the link to be scanned. In this process, if it doesn’t show any threats, then the file you are above to download is safe.

These are some great and easiest way to check if the files you are going to download is safe or not. Checking this will help you secure your device from any kind of threats.
